Castaway Trails
This build is an early version of the game created to gather feedback and test gameplay systems. A large portion of the final content is still in development, so some features, events, systems, and content may be limited or temporary.
Build a party of unique survivors and guide them through a procedurally generated world where friendships, romances, rivalries, and betrayals emerge naturally.
Explore a vast, ever-changing world filled with medieval ruins, hostile creatures, and meaningful encounters. Form a party of unique characters, each with their own personality, needs, and moral compass.
During travels between locations, your companions will talk, argue, bond… or even betray each other. Their relationships evolve dynamically — friendships, rivalries, romances… or irreparable feuds may emerge.
Manage your resources carefully: food, rest, and shelter are key to survival. Engage in turn-based combat with tactical depth, make choices that shape the story, and lead your party through an adventure where no two playthroughs are the same.
Features:
- Dynamic relationships between companions
- Friendships, romances, rivalries, and betrayals
- Procedurally generated adventures

- Tactical turn-based combat
- Camp management, crafting, cooking, fishing, and survival
- Explore a changing world full of quests and discoveries
- Will they stay together… or fall apart when they’re needed the most?

I like seeing indie developers sharing their work. Your project definitely has its own personality. How has the response been from players so far? Any feedback that surprised you?
I started a small playtesting last month. There are a bunch of players that are sharing their thoughts and some are even finding bugs. It's been great so far, not huge numbers but it's fun to see people play what you made :)
What surprised me the most is a common bug that made the camera zoom in. I never encounter it while making the game, but it seemed to be extremely common and made the game almost unplayable (until you trigger a combat and the camera zoomed out). For me it was so strange that I never encountered it.
